How is fundraising structured at Saint Paul’s School?
Beginning in 2026-27, Saint Paul’s will adopt a centralized fundraising model, led by the Office of Institutional Advancement. This approach ensures alignment with school priorities, minimizes donor fatigue, and provides a coordinated, mission-driven donor experience.
-
Why does Saint Paul’s use a centralized fundraising model?
A centralized model improves transparency, consistency, and effectiveness in development initiatives. It helps us:
- Ensure all fundraising initiatives follow best practices and financial policies
- Better steward our donors
- Reduce repetitive asks
- Align fundraising with the school’s strategic goals
-
What types of fundraising initiatives does Saint Paul’s support?
Key fundraising initiatives include:
- Sponsorships: For events, athletics, and extracurricular groups
- The Blue & Gold Fund: Annual giving supports day-to-day operations and student programs
- Endowment Gifts: Provide sustainable funding for specific initiatives and tuition assistance
- Planned Gifts: Legacy-focused gifts to the Saint Paul’s Endowment
- Capital Projects: Facility improvements like the newly renovated Dining Hall
-
Can I designate my annual gift to the Blue & Gold Fund to a specific area or program?
Unrestricted annual gifts to The Blue & Gold Fund provide the greatest flexibility and allow the school to address its most pressing needs. Should you like to make a gift to an area meaningful to you, our Institutional Advancement Office is happy to help match your philanthropic goals with school priorities.
-
Are student groups still allowed to fundraise?
No. Beginning in 2026-27, all fundraising initiatives at Saint Paul’s will be managed exclusively by the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Office of the President. This centralized approach ensures alignment with school priorities and provides clear, consistent communication with our donors. Student groups and extracurricular programs benefit from fundraising efforts, but they do not conduct their own independent campaigns.
-
How do I know my gift is making a difference?
Every gift matters. Whether you give annually, support a capital project, or establish an endowed scholarship, your generosity directly benefits students and sustains our Lasallian mission. We provide acknowledgement letters, stewardship updates, donor impact reports, and publish the President’s Annual Report to ensure transparency and appreciation. Have questions about a previous gift? Contact Jeaneen Schmitt, Gifts & Records Coordinator (jeaneens@stpauls.com or (985) 892-3200 Ext. 1974), for assistance.
-
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Yes. Saint Paul’s School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your records.
-

You can give online, by mail, or in person. Visit our Ways to Donate page or contact Stephen Dale, Senior Director for Development & External Relations (s.dale@stpauls.com or (985) 892-3200 Ext. 1970), for help with your gift.
-
Can I volunteer instead of giving financially?
Absolutely. Gifts of time are deeply valued. Volunteers play a vital role in events, alumni outreach, parent programs, and more. Opportunities are available for current families, alumni, grandparents, and friends of Saint Paul’s.
